Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Not Yet Titled by Mathieu Malouf was auctioned at Phillips in 7 - in December this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,302.00 (€ 2,984.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mathieu Malouf - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Prius 4, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,827.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Not Yet Titled von Mathieu Malouf kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 7 - zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.302,00 (€ 2.984,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Mathieu Malouf mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Prius 4 beobachtet, die im März 2018 für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.827,57) versteigert wurde.
