The result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,098.56) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mather Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Major Norton, the Mohawk Chief Teyoninhokarawen in September 2007 with an auction result of GBP 46,100.00 (€ 66,104.01).
