In April 2015 Christies in Shanghai held the auction Asian And Western 20th Century & Contemporary Art, which included the work A Red Star and a Brass Ball by Shichinohe Masaru. The »bidding war« ended at CNY 300,000.00 (€ 43,325.57), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shichinohe Masaru - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Praying Girl(Painted In 2012), which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 826,000.00 (€ 94,318.08).

Im April 2015 führte Christies in Shanghai die Auktion Asian And Western 20th Century & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Red Star and a Brass Ball von Shichinohe Masaru zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CNY 300.000,00 (€ 43.325,57) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Shichinohe Masaru mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Praying Girl(Painted In 2012) beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für HKD 826.000,00 (€ 94.318,08) versteigert wurde.
