Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Masami Teraoka could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Travelogue Series/Palm Tree & the Artist changed hands for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 20,485.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 240,000.00 – 420,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Masami Teraoka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Cloisters Venus and Pope's Workout in November 2009 with an auction result of HKD 4,820,000.00 (€ 414,685.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Masami Teraoka konnte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wechselte die Arbeit Travelogue Series/Palm Tree & the Artist für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 20.485,22) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 240.000,00 – 420.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Masami Teraoka erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Cloisters Venus and Pope's Workout im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.820.000,00 (€ 414.685,87).
