This artwork by Masahisa Fukase achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2021. In the 50 Masterworks to Celebrate 50 Years of Sotheby’s Photographs auction, the work 'Nayoro', 1977 sold for GBP 27,720.00 (€ 31,886.06) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Masahisa Fukase - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cape Erimo from Ravens, which sold at auction in May 2016 for GBP 93,750.00 (€ 122,333.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 85 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Masahisa Fukase erzielte im April 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 50 Masterworks to Celebrate 50 Years of Sotheby’s Photographs wurde die Arbeit 'Nayoro', 1977 für GBP 27.720,00 (€ 31.886,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Masahisa Fukase mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cape Erimo from Ravens beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für GBP 93.750,00 (€ 122.333,86) versteigert wurde.
