Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chevalier by Maryan was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 12,600.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maryan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Periode Americaine - 1975, which sold at auction in December 2020 for EUR 46,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chevalier von Maryan kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 12.600,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Maryan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Periode Americaine - 1975 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für EUR 46.800,00 versteigert wurde.
