Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait 18 x 22 1/2 in. (45.7 x 57.2 cm) framed 24 1/2 x 29 1/2 x 1 3/4 in. by Maryan for USD 2,304.00 (€ 2,112.21). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary Art | Bonhams Skinner at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maryan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Periode Americaine - 1975 in December 2020 with an auction result of EUR 46,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait 18 x 22 1/2 in. (45.7 x 57.2 cm) framed 24 1/2 x 29 1/2 x 1 3/4 in. von Maryan für USD 2.304,00 (€ 2.112,21) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maryan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Periode Americaine - 1975 im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 46.800,00.
