In December 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Arcadia by Mary Weatherford. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 3,000,000.00 (€ 316,435.00), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mary Weatherford; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Coney Island sold at auction in September last year with the realized price of USD 478,800.00 (€ 489,420.42).

Im Dezember 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arcadia von Mary Weatherford zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 3.000.000,00 (€ 316.435,00) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Mary Weatherford; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Coney Island im September letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 478.800,00 (€ 489.420,42).
