Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Yellow Dressing Gown by Mary Potter was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in September 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,187.50 (€ 9,028.05). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mary Potter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Evening II, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,600.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Yellow Dressing Gown von Mary Potter wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.187,50 (€ 9.028,05) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Mary Potter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Evening II beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 31.600,84) versteigert wurde.
