Auction result well in line with expectations
The work White Water by Mary Heilmann was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year. The price achieved of USD 94,500.00 (€ 85,188.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Heilmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Passenger in May last year with an auction result of USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit White Water von Mary Heilmann kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 94.500,00 (€ 85.188,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mary Heilmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Passenger im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 945.000,00 (€ 880.626,22).
