Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,549.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,800.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mary Gallagher - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses and a Red Fan, which sold at auction in October 2006 for GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,605.95).
