Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Roses in a white vase with a glass of wine and a pear to the side, on a table by Mary Gallagher was sold in the British, Continental & Russian Pictures & Prints auction at Christies in London in July 2007. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,782.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Mary Gallagher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roses and a Red Fan in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,605.95).
