Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction The Scottish Sale, which included the work Pears, Oranges, And Poppies In A Glasgow Jug by Mary Gallagher. The price achieved of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,579.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mary Gallagher - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses and a Red Fan, which sold at auction in October 2006 for GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,605.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Scottish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pears, Oranges, And Poppies In A Glasgow Jug von Mary Gallagher zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.579,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mary Gallagher mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roses and a Red Fan beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.605,95) versteigert wurde.
