Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (From the Marionnette Series) by Marwan was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,400.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marwan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kopf. in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 262,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (From the Marionnette Series) von Marwan wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.400,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marwan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kopf. im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 262.500,00.
