The work Landschaft Marionette (Landscape Marionette) by Marwan was sold in the This Too Shall Pass auction at Sothebys in Dubai in June 2020. The »bidding war« ended at USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,355.89), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marwan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kopf. in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 262,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landschaft Marionette (Landscape Marionette) von Marwan wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion This Too Shall Pass bei Sothebys in Dubai versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.355,89) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marwan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kopf. im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 262.500,00.
