Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kopf by Marwan was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 63,000.00 (€ 74,637.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marwan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kopf., which sold at auction in June 2015 for EUR 262,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kopf von Marwan kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 63.000,00 (€ 74.637,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Marwan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kopf. beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für EUR 262.500,00 versteigert wurde.
