Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Martin Wong was sold in the Public Intervention: Art of the Street auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. It achieved a price of USD 35,280.00 (€ 30,540.17), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Wong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Quong Yuen Shing & Co. in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,260,375.00 (€ 1,174,517.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Martin Wong wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Public Intervention: Art of the Street bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 35.280,00 (€ 30.540,17) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martin Wong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Quong Yuen Shing & Co. im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.260.375,00 (€ 1.174.517,75).
