Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Rio Di San Barnaba, Venice by Martín Rico y Ortega. Here, the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,664.72). Admittedly, works by Martín Rico y Ortega have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spanish Rio San Trovaso, Venice in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 420,000.00 (€ 307,467.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rio Di San Barnaba, Venice von Martín Rico y Ortega zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.664,72) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martín Rico y Ortega auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spanish Rio San Trovaso, Venice im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 420.000,00 (€ 307.467,06).
