In December 2013 Il Ponte held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art | Silver and Decorative Objects, which included the work Untitled portrait (Muscle Mom) by Martin Maloney. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 800.00 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Maloney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled Portrait (Jerry) in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 20,400.00 (€ 15,419.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art | Silver and Decorative Objects durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled portrait (Muscle Mom) von Martin Maloney zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 800,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martin Maloney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled Portrait (Jerry) im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.400,00 (€ 15.419,50).
