A top price for Martha Boto - as previously expected
In December 2011 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art 1, which included the work Deplacement Helicoidal Lumineux, 1967 by Martha Boto. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 83,565.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Deplacement Helicoidal Lumineux, 1967 is the most expensive artwork by Martha Boto that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Dezember 2011 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art 1 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deplacement Helicoidal Lumineux, 1967 von Martha Boto zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 83.565,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Deplacement Helicoidal Lumineux, 1967 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Martha Boto, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
