This work without title by Martha Boto was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in November 2018. The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,494.75) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martha Boto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Deplacement Helicoidal Lumineux, 1967, which sold at auction in December 2011 for EUR 83,565.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Martha Boto wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.494,75) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Martha Boto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Deplacement Helicoidal Lumineux, 1967 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für EUR 83.565,00 versteigert wurde.
