Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Trixie by Marsden Hartley was auctioned at Christies in New York in April this year. The price achieved of USD 1,008,000.00 (€ 913,043.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marsden Hartley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pre-War Pageant in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 27,395,000.00 (€ 24,194,118.17).
