Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included the work Greatcomments by Markus Linnenbrink. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,577.18) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Markus Linnenbrink - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wechsel II, which sold at auction in December 2021 for EUR 22,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greatcomments von Markus Linnenbrink zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.577,18) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Markus Linnenbrink mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wechsel II beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für EUR 22.500,00 versteigert wurde.
