Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2019 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work Study for Forward Retreat by Mark Tansey. The price achieved of GBP 1,736,250.00 (€ 1,951,802.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mark Tansey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Source Of The Loue, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 7,453,600.00 (€ 6,386,975.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study for Forward Retreat von Mark Tansey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.736.250,00 (€ 1.951.802,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mark Tansey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Source Of The Loue beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 7.453.600,00 (€ 6.386.975,15) versteigert wurde.
