Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Mark Barrow achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in 17 - in July this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction auction, the work Semblance sold for USD 4,064.00 (€ 3,687.84) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mark Barrow; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot BGR sold at auction in April 2016 with the realized price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,071.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mark Barrow erzielte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 17 - einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction wurde die Arbeit Semblance für USD 4.064,00 (€ 3.687,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Mark Barrow; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit BGR im April 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.071,91).
