In November 2008 Christies in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Amaryllis IV, 2002 by Marjukka Vainio. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,627.23) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Other works by Marjukka Vainio have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2006 the work Porcelain Flower was auctioned for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,482.27).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Amaryllis IV, 2002 von Marjukka Vainio zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.627,23) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Marjukka Vainio konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2006 die Arbeit Porcelain Flower für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 4.482,27) versteigert.
