Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Daria, NY by Mario Sorrenti was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in London in May 2016. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 16,311.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mario Sorrenti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kate on Roof, 1993, which sold at auction in April 2019 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,479.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Daria, NY von Mario Sorrenti wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 16.311,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mario Sorrenti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kate on Roof, 1993 beobachtet, die im April 2019 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.479,15) versteigert wurde.
