This artwork by Mario Nigro achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in April 2014. In the Milan Modern and Contemporary auction, the work Spazio Totale sold for EUR 45,300.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 24,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mario Nigro; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Pannello A Scacchi Bianchi E Neri sold at auction in April 2014 with the realized price of EUR 76,800.00.
