Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Senza Titolo by Mario Merz was sold in the Mapping Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Milan in February 2021. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,375.00 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mario Merz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Piccolo caimano in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,346,297.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Senza Titolo von Mario Merz wurde im Februar 2021 in der Auktion Mapping Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.375,00 und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mario Merz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Piccolo caimano im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 962.500,00 (€ 1.346.297,09).
