Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online sale, which included the work Four prints from the Zionist Series by Mário Macilau. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,561.99). Admittedly, works by Mário Macilau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cercle De Mémoires in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 19,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four prints from the Zionist Series von Mário Macilau zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.561,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mário Macilau auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cercle De Mémoires im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.500,00.
