Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Alito, The Guy With Style, Moments Of Transition, 2013 by Mário Macilau was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,464.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Mário Macilau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cercle De Mémoires in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 19,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Alito, The Guy With Style, Moments Of Transition, 2013 von Mário Macilau kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.464,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mário Macilau auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cercle De Mémoires im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.500,00.
