Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Extensions Of The Dirty Kitchen by Marina Cruz. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,762.00). Admittedly, works by Marina Cruz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blushed and Blemished in May last year with an auction result of HKD 630,000.00 (€ 74,794.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Extensions Of The Dirty Kitchen von Marina Cruz zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.762,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marina Cruz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blushed and Blemished im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 630.000,00 (€ 74.794,52).
