Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Christies in New York held the auction First Open Online: Post War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Rorschach by Marilyn Minter. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,253.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marilyn Minter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wave in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 250,442.23).
