This artwork by Marie-Thérèse de Noireterre achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2000. In the Miniatures auction, the work A young gentleman, full face in red, green and white striped waistcoat and open frilled white shirt, powdered high-piled short curling wig sold for GBP 1,763 (€ 2,828) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marie-Thérèse de Noireterre - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work , which sold at auction in July 2018 for GBP 8,750 (€ 9,811).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Marie-Thérèse de Noireterre erzielte im Mai 2000 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. Für andere Arbeiten von Marie-Thérèse de Noireterre mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit beobachtet, die im Juli 2018 für GBP 8.750 (€ 9.811) versteigert wurde.
