The work A young gentleman called the Revolutionary Boissy-d'Anglas (1756-1826), holding a letter addressed to his mother, facing left in green coat with gold buttons, black, gold and red striped white waistcoat, white shirt and red and green bordered cravat, by Marie-Thérèse de Noireterre was sold in the IMPORTANT PORTRAIT MINIATURES, GOLD BOXES & OBJECTS OF VERTU auction at Christies in London in May 2002. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,315 (€ 2,059). Admittedly, works by Marie-Thérèse de Noireterre have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 8,750 (€ 9,811).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.315 (€ 2.059) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marie-Thérèse de Noireterre auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750 (€ 9.811).
