Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,075.50 (€ 1,523.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Marie-Anne Fragonard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A young boy, full face in brown coat, brown shirt with white collar, fair hair in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 8,225.00 (€ 13,088.57).

Die Arbeit A young boy, in white coat with brown facings and high frilled collar, blue-bordered straw hat with black plume in his curling fair hair von Marie-Anne Fragonard wurde im Dezember 2003 in der Auktion Important Gold Boxes,Objects of Vertu & Portrait Miniatures bei Christies in London versteigert.
