In December 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Part I, which included the work Portrait Of A Boy, Circa 1780 by Marie-Anne Fragonard. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,051.97), 63% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Marie-Anne Fragonard; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A young boy, full face in brown coat, brown shirt with white collar, fair hair sold at auction in November 2001 with the realized price of GBP 8,225.00 (€ 13,088.57).

Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Boy, Circa 1780 von Marie-Anne Fragonard zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.051,97) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Marie-Anne Fragonard; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A young boy, full face in brown coat, brown shirt with white collar, fair hair im November 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 8.225,00 (€ 13.088,57).
