This artwork by Mariano Fortuny achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2011. In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work Spanish arabe Delante De Un Tapiz (Arab Before A Tapestry) sold for GBP 735,650.00 (€ 841,218.03) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 250,000.00.
