The »bidding war« ended at GBP 32,500.00 (€ 38,617.03), 30% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mariano Fortuny achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spanish arabe Delante De Un Tapiz (Arab Before A Tapestry) in May 2011 with an auction result of GBP 735,650.00 (€ 841,218.03).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 38.617,03) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mariano Fortuny erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spanish arabe Delante De Un Tapiz (Arab Before A Tapestry) im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 735.650,00 (€ 841.218,03).
