Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Christies in London held the auction First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Red Door; Putty Liver by Marianne Vitale. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,468.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Marianne Vitale have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shingle Painting 8 in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,753.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Red Door; Putty Liver von Marianne Vitale zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.468,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marianne Vitale auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shingle Painting 8 im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.753,47).
