In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale, which included the work Kyoto by Mariam Sofrina. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 112,500.00 (€ 12,325.89), 61% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mariam Sofrina; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Jalan Merdeka sold at auction in April 2019 with the realized price of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,228.64).

Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kyoto von Mariam Sofrina zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 12.325,89) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Mariam Sofrina; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Jalan Merdeka im April 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.228,64).
