Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale, which included the work Two Works: (i) News XIII; (ii) News XV by Maria Taniguchi. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,722.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maria Taniguchi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 441,000.00 (€ 48,844.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Works: (i) News XIII; (ii) News XV von Maria Taniguchi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.722,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maria Taniguchi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 441.000,00 (€ 48.844,34).
