Despite a disappointment, a good price for Maria Serebrjakova
When this work without title by Maria Serebrjakova was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,756.95). Despite this disappointing result, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Maria Serebrjakova that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Maria Serebrjakova
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Maria Serebrjakova im April 2007 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.756,95) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Maria Serebrjakova, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
