Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Peonies and Roses by Margaretha Roosenboom was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,599.86). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Margaretha Roosenboom - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A still life with roses, which sold at auction in April 2001 for NLG 188,000.00 (€ 86,288.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Peonies and Roses von Margaretha Roosenboom wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.599,86) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Margaretha Roosenboom mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A still life with roses beobachtet, die im April 2001 für NLG 188.000,00 (€ 86.288,48) versteigert wurde.
