Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A camellia, carnations, grapes and other flowers on a marble ledge by Margaretha Roosenboom was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2011. The price achieved of EUR 25,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Margaretha Roosenboom - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A still life with roses, which sold at auction in April 2001 for NLG 188,000.00 (€ 86,288.48).

Die Arbeit A camellia, carnations, grapes and other flowers on a marble ledge von Margaretha Roosenboom kam im November 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 25.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Margaretha Roosenboom mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A still life with roses beobachtet, die im April 2001 für NLG 188.000,00 (€ 86.288,48) versteigert wurde.
