Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ship in sunset by Marcus Larsson was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 20,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 16,000.00 (€ 1,434.29). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcus Larsson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset by the coast in December 2015 with an auction result of SEK 270,000.00 (€ 29,414.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Ship in sunset von Marcus Larsson im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 16.000,00 (€ 1.434,29) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcus Larsson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset by the coast im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 270.000,00 (€ 29.414,31).
