The work Portrait Of Frances, Lady Dering (1577–1657), Wearing A White Dress Richly Embroidered With Strawberries And Acorns by Marcus Gheeraerts the Younger was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2017. It achieved a price of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 90,662.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcus Gheeraerts the Younger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Frances Howard, Countess of Hertford, later Duchess of Lennox and Richmond, full-length, in a masquerade dress, with a wreath of pansies in her hair in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 1,721,250.00 (€ 1,975,391.88).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 90.662,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcus Gheeraerts the Younger erzielen.
