Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sangak by Marcos Grigorian was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 48,640.00 (€ 56,363.18) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marcos Grigorian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Horizontal & Vertical Earthwork each panel 188 x 188 cm in June last year with an auction result of USD 315,375.00 (€ 301,246.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sangak von Marcos Grigorian wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 48.640,00 (€ 56.363,18) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcos Grigorian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Horizontal & Vertical Earthwork each panel 188 x 188 cm im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 315.375,00 (€ 301.246,54).
