Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Marcos Grigorian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in June last year. In the Marcos Grigorian UnearthedWorks from the Artist's Estate auction, the work Nude sold for USD 35,655.00 (€ 34,057.69) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marcos Grigorian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Horizontal & Vertical Earthwork each panel 188 x 188 cm in June last year with an auction result of USD 315,375.00 (€ 301,246.54).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcos Grigorian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Horizontal & Vertical Earthwork each panel 188 x 188 cm im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 315.375,00 (€ 301.246,54).
