Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Christies in Paris held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, which included the work Day & Night by Marcos Grigorian. The price achieved of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 40,881.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marcos Grigorian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Horizontal & Vertical Earthwork each panel 188 x 188 cm in June last year with an auction result of USD 315,375.00 (€ 301,246.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Day & Night von Marcos Grigorian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 40.881,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcos Grigorian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Horizontal & Vertical Earthwork each panel 188 x 188 cm im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 315.375,00 (€ 301.246,54).
